The Journey Inward

I gazed out at the vast open sea,

Wondering what mysteries lie in me,

This vessel adrift, seeking its place,

To tap into wisdom, love and grace.

I peered within through mind’s bright lens,

Saw all my faults and where growth begins,

Each wave of emotion that rocked my core,

Showed places still raw, needing to heal more.

As currents of pain and regret would rise,

I learned not to judge, just sit with my cries,

Observing each thought and each story spun,

Helped unravel the knots one by one.

The more I dove into my inner space,

The more I could see my true nature’s shape,

A being of light here to radiate,

Joy, creativity, compassion innate.

By listening close to my inner voice,

I uncovered my soul’s purpose and choice,

To shine as I am, free from facade,

Aligned at last with my higher self’s coda.

This journey in rough and uncertain waters,

Revealed my inner worth, that I truly matter,

As I embraced all parts of me with care,

I found fulfillment, meaning and flair.
